Superb Scotch at an attractive price point.

This is a fantastic opening price Macallan yet it is far from basic. Great taste and flavors

Smooth and good taste, not bitter.

I travel extensively and it seems like every hotel in America has MacCallan 12 sherry oak available. Not so for the Maccallan 12 double cask, which I strongly prefer over the sherry oak. To me the double cask has a much smoother and less astringent finish than the sherry oak, which means a lot to me. I keep a bottle of both scotches on hand, but I find myself reaching for the double cask much more frequently than the sherry oak.
