Tasting Notes and Technical Description:
Cloaked in a luscious dark amber shade with radiant golden hues, Tears of Llorona Extra Anejo suggests opulence even before it touches the lips.
The aromatic bouquet is nothing short of astounding. The tequila displays a dynamic nose filled with complex layers of cinnamon, toasted almonds, and dried fruit. Entwined in this aromatic dance are earthy undertones of Mexican chocolate and leather, which further deepen its olfactory allure.
Upon tasting, the narrative of its intricacy continues. Initial flavors of rich caramel and dark chocolate pave the way for an unfolding drama of complexity. Notes of butterscotch, vanilla, and roasted agave harmonize effortlessly with darker undertones of tobacco, leather, and oak. Subtle hints of coffee and a dash of fruitiness add additional strata to an already intricate palate.
The finish is extraordinary—long, rounded, and mature. A lingering warmth suffused with subtle spices and dark chocolate persists, making each sip an exploration and a statement.
As would be expected of an Extra Anejo of this caliber, the texture is impeccably smooth and almost syrup-like, laying down a velvet carpet on the palate and confirming its luxurious persona.

I am a Forteleza and Don Julio fan and are usually what I stick to now after years of experimenting.
I had heard about Llorona and How It Is considered by quite a few tequila self appointed experts On YouTube that it was either the best or 2nd best tequila they had ever had. Hefty Price tag so on the rare Occasions I saw it, I passed on it. Then saw a bottle In a nice Mexican restaurant and gave it a try at 30.00 for a shot. WOW, went to my local liquor store who had one in stock a few days before and bought it. Bought 2 more from 3rd Base.
Sorry but Wow is all U get out of me. And I have never given a wow on any Liquor before. This coming from someone with a large collection that is mainly Scotch and Bourbon.
